Paul Taylor Profile
Here is a brief biography.
I gained my Masters in Law at Oxford University and then spent several years in major account sales, including a spell with Boeing.
My Marketing MBA at Cass Business School, City University in London, led me to establish my own company importing Italian interior accessories, selling into major stores such as Harrods and Selfridges and to independents.
After two or three years the boredom set in and I moved into consulting. During the next few years I helped hundreds of small and medium sized businesses with business and marketing plans and leadership development training (more on this in a moment).
In the mid-1990s, exciting things started to happen in the UK energy industry as the market became fully competitive. As marketing manager for London Electricity, a FTSE-100 company, I was responsible for a £2.5m promotional budget and developed the go-to-market strategy encompassing advertising, PR, direct mail, newsletters and online marketing.
At the end of the '90s, I returned to consultancy and for most of the last ten years I have worked with major corporations in over 20 countries around the world providing leadership development, focusing on strategy, marketing and finance.
Throughout this time, I have also been an active internet marketer and Ideas For Marketing is the distillation of my research, learning and practical experience.
